How is this different from Zapier or Make?
Zapier and Make charge per task or operation — a credit system that scales badly as automation usage grows. We build workflows on open-source n8n with flat hosting cost, not metered per task. A workflow firing 10,000 times a month costs the same as one firing 10. Hosting options (managed by us or self-hosted by you) are set out in your proposal — predictable monthly.
Why n8n instead of a SaaS tool?
n8n is open-source, self-hostable, and has equivalent (often better) integration coverage compared to Zapier or Make. It supports custom code, AI integrations (Claude, OpenAI), and conditional logic that simpler SaaS tools don't support. Most importantly: you own the workflows. They're not rented from a vendor.
What kinds of workflows can be automated?
If it follows a repeatable pattern, it can be automated. Common builds: lead capture into CRM, form submissions into email and Slack, social media publishing, invoice generation from accepted quotes, document processing, email automation triggered by calendar events, AI-powered content pipelines.
How long does it take to build?
Most workflow builds ship in 2 to 4 weeks. Simple single-trigger automations can be live in a week. Complex multi-system pipelines with AI processing and fact-checking take 6 to 8 weeks.
Do we need to host n8n ourselves?
Two options. We can host the workflow on our managed n8n infrastructure, or you can self-host for complete control. Specific costs and trade-offs are set out in your proposal. Either way, the workflows themselves are yours.
Do we own the workflows after you build them?
Yes. Workflows export to a JSON file. You can take that file to any n8n installation and the workflow runs there. Workflows export as JSON and run on any n8n install — you're not dependent on us to keep them running.
